(綜合報道)(星島日報報道)科威特航空公司前年拒絕賣機票給一名使用以色列護照的男子，捲入歧視以色列旅客的風波，遭美國政府高調警告，若繼續發生歧視以色列人的事件，美國便會不再批准該公司旗下的飛機飛進美國。不過，科航先發制人，在本周把一向很受歡迎的一條來往紐約和倫敦的航綫取消，也不願接待以色列乘客。該公司解釋，科威特禁止國民與以色列國民有生意往來，因此不能讓以色列人乘搭該公司的客機。
Kuwait Airways has scrapped flights between London Heathrow and New York so that it does not have to sell tickets to Israeli passengers.
The airline is no longer selling tickets for seats on the service between Heathrow and JFK airport after US authorities threatened legal action over its refusal to sell tickets to Israelis.
The airline has in the past defended its actions by saying that it was merely obeying Kuwaiti law, prohibiting all commercial relations with Israeli entities, residents or nationals.
