Every spring the annual Beaches Lions Club Easter Parade brings Queen Street to life with colour, music, fun and entertainment. Ontario’s largest annual Easter Parade includes over 100 floats, and fantastic marching bands.

New this year: Good Friday Easter Egg Hunt (Bring Your Own Basket), children’s entertainment and face painting! Don’t miss out on the special visit from the Easter Bunny too.

National Canadian Film Day

You are invited to celebrate Canada on National Canadian Film Day by watching a great Canadian film!

REEL CANADA is delighted to present the sixth annual National Canadian Film Day (NCFD). This year, NCFD will feature more than 1000 Canadian film screenings across the country and around the world. The GTA alone will host approximately 120 different events, in venues that range from libraries, community centres, and retirement residences, to cinemas, art galleries, and embassies.

Winterlicious

Explore Toronto’s food culture at this year’s Winterlicious from January 25 to February 7, 2019. Winterlicious, created by the City of Toronto features delectable three-course prix fixe menus at nearly 200 participating restaurants and an eclectic culinary event series. Three-course prix fixe lunch menus priced at $23, $28 and $33, and dinner menus priced at $33, $43 and $53. Culinary event tickets go on sale December 13. Reservations begin on January 10 and are to be made directly with the participating dining establishments. A list of participating restaurants and their menus, along with culinary event information and purchasing details are available at toronto.ca/winterlicious

Toronto Light Festival 2019

The Toronto Light Festival, the City’s first-ever light art festival, is coming back to The Distillery District. Visitors will be taken on a new visual journey and imaginative cerebral adventure, designed to entertain and inspire.

The Festival will transform the neighbourhood into one of the largest open-air galleries in North America, lighting up the long winter nights with distinctive works from local and international light artists. This winter, Torontonians of all ages are to come out of the dark and into the light.
