Penang Times Square is having a three-week durian party from June 15 until July 7 at the Chin Ho Plaza from 11am to 9pm. !

The “Durian Durian 2.0” event, supported by Tourism Malaysia and the hospitality industry will offer durian lovers the best fruits and lots of fun programmes for adults and children at the mall.

“Durian Eating Challenge” from 2pm to 3pm on June 15 and 16. A charity batik painting programme will also be held on June 16 from noon to 5pm.

 “Durian Art Attack” drawing competition on June 22 from 4pm to 6pm followed by the “Durian Durian 2.0 Colouring Contest” from 11am to 1pm at Level One of the concourse area. Another ‘Durian Eating Challenge will be held from 3pm to 4pm at the outdoor Chin Ho Plaza on June 23.

The colouring contest has two different categories, for seven to nine-year-olds and 10 to 12-year-olds, the registration fee is RM5 per person. The closing date to submit entries is June 20.

“Durian Clay Art” programme, which will be held on June 29 from 2pm to 4pm, and the “Durian King Competition 2013” on June 30 from 1pm to 3pm.

From June 15 to 27, there will also be a “Durian Thorns Counting” contest. The grand prize is a RM5,800 three-night Phuket-Krabi cruise for two onboard Star Cruises’ SuperStar Libra.

To participate in the contest, those interested must make a minimum RM20 purchase at any Durian Durian booth at the mall. The closing date to submit your entries is by 9pm on June 28.
