There is a nice hostel in Bangkok where you get a clean private room in a traditional Thai house for under 200 Baht/night. Bluefin Guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area in northern Bangkok, while busy markets and cheap eateries are less than 100 metres away on the main streets. Wi-fi is free. There is even one computer for guests to share.

Downsides:
1.There’s no air conditioning, just fans in rooms. So the rooms can get hot during the daytime.
2.All the bathrooms(showers and toilets) are shared too.
3.Weekly or monthly rent only, not suitable for a short stay.
